Alex Henry British made 20 gauge side by side with external hammers — attractive, honest antique/collector’s shotgun in very good cosmetic and mechanical condition for its age. Lock-up is solid, hammers and triggers function reliably, and the bores are serviceable for low-pressure use. Important safety note: the barrels have not been nitro (smokeless powder) proofed — they were made for black powder / low-pressure loads. Do not shoot modern high-pressure smokeless (nitro) shells until the barrels are inspected and nitro-proofed by a qualified gunsmith. This gun is ideal for collectors, display, or for someone who will have the barrels professionally inspected/proofed prior to use.
