French Occupation K98 bolt-action rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser (8×57). This is a post-WWII K98k produced at the Mauser Oberndorf factory under French administration (often marked svwMB), made in 1945-1946 for French forces. These rifles feature the classic Mauser controlled-round-feed action known for its legendary strength, smooth operation, and reliability.
This rifle is in very good used condition. The wood stock is solid with no cracks or major damage, showing only light handling marks from normal use. Metal finish retains strong bluing with minimal wear and no pitting or heavy rust. Bore is bright and clean with sharp rifling. Action cycles smoothly, locks up tight, and is mechanically sound.
